About Lela Harty Studio/Gallery

Dedicated to the visual arts, Lela is a painter, long-time art school owner/instructor, gallery director and author of instructional material and videos on painting.

Her art study includes the Chicago Art Institute, the American Academy of Art, the Art Students League of New York, and seminars in Europe.

Lela has traveled a great deal to view fine works of art throughout the world. She has resided in San Diego since 1976, and takes great pride in the success of many students, as well as in the fine art of John Asaro represented in her gallery.

She is well known for her integrity in the business community in dealing with both artists and collectors.
